Owner of Uncle Sam’s restaurants accused of illegal hiring practices

The owner of Uncle Sam’s restaurants, which has two locations in the Valley, was arrested on suspicion of trafficking the identity of another, identity theft and forgery, according to a statement from the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office.
Owner Bret Frimmel, 40, was arrested around noon on Wednesday at Uncle Sam’s Peoria location, near 83rd Avenue and Union Hills Drive, according to officials.
